Privacy Policy

SproutLoop is a small, local produce swap club. This page explains, in plain language, what we store and why. There are no third-party analytics or tracking scripts on this site.

What we store

• Your account: name, email address, bio, and your area. Your ZIP code is converted to approximate coordinates so listings can be placed on the shared map. Exact addresses are never shown to other members.
• The listings you post, including photos you upload.
• The messages you exchange with other members about a swap.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are either needed to keep you signed in or that record a choice you made. Nothing here is used to track you across other websites.

• Sign-in cookies, set by better-auth. The main one holds your session so you stay logged in; a companion better-auth.session_data cookie is also used when it needs to cache part of the session. These are strictly essential and cannot be switched off.
• Signing in with Google sends you briefly to Google and back. That round trip can set short-lived cookies while it happens; they expire on their own and are not used for tracking.
• sl_consent, which only records whether you accepted this notice. Clearing it just means we will ask again next time.
